Senior UX Designer – Contract

Contract Length – 6-months

Day Rate – $700-900

Exciting opportunity to join a large financial company in Melbourne’s CBD for an initial 6-month day rate contract. This mature design department values innovation, customer research, high quality work and emerging technologies.

The role:

You will always design with the customer in mind, using HCD thinking to create conceptual designs, low to medium fidelity designs and prototypes for digital solutions. Your research-driven solutions will meet customer needs, align with business outcomes and adhere to technical constraints.

This is a Senior position – you’ll have worked in a similar capacity as a UX specialist and will have the necessary experience to understand, influence and advise internal and/or external stakeholders. You’ll support the existing UX Lead.

Your experience:

• Strong working knowledge of the design process, Experience Design methodologies and principles
• Comfortable producing mid-fidelity wireframes in sketch and taking designing experiences in web & mobile
• Experience running customer research and synthesis activities
• Ability to work autonomously to progress designs, research and testing
• Experience working closely with delivery teams
• Comfortable in uncertainty and with a project with evolving definition
• Excellent communication and presenting skills and ability to influence outcomes
• Ability to analyse requirements and propose best possible solution for a digital/physical product where required
• Experience within agile environments, using relevant practices and principles such as: Lean UX, Minimum Viable Product, User stories, Acceptance Criteria, Rapid Prototyping, etc.
