Senior UX Designer

Contract Length: 6 months (likely to extend)

Day Rate: $700-900

Working Arrangements: Hybrid

The Company:

A large financial services organisation with a mature design department based in Melbourne’s CBD, are looking for a new Senior UX Designer for a 6-12 month day rate contract.

You’ll join a close-knit design community with regular opportunities to collaborate, including design jams & workshops.

This supportive team value innovation, customer research and inclusive, accessible design. The role will be mostly remote, with 2 days a week in the office.

The Role:

Join a team committed to having a big impact on customers’ experience, across multiple channels, web and mobile.

You’ll create a simple & seamless digital experience to help thousands of customers self serve, as well as enabling employees to best serve customers, using seamless tools & processes.

You’ll partner with a cross-functional team working on a number of new and in-flight initiatives that requires a hands on approach.

The role is primarily UX focused, and there’ll also be a chance to flex into CX and Strategy.

Your Skills & Experience:

• Highly proficient in producing UX fidelity wireframes in Sketch and taking the lead designing experiences in web & mobile
• History of designing for complex problems
• Comfortable taking a lead, running customer research and synthesis activities alongside project design lead
• Ability to work self-directed and progress designs & research/testing.
• Experience working to supporting the delivery teams (engaging with BA’s, PO’s, Testers and Development and A11Y)
• Comfortable in uncertainty and with a project with evolving definition.
• Ability to balance Desirability, Viability & Feasibility considerations
• Ability to present your designs, from problem to solution to senior stakeholders
