Group Business Director

Have the drive to support and grow the next generation of digital specialists? We are currently looking for a Group Business director to join this award-winning expanding performance agency to help drive collaboration and growth.

This new role has been created to work closely with clients and partners, fostering these relationships to have a thorough understanding of their business needs and challenges. This ensures you and your team we are always creating impact and adding value to help strengthen these partnerships.

You don’t require extensive experience across every digital channel, you will, however, be able to talk to each channel with confidence and help manage your team of specialists to ensure best-in-class work is being delivered across each practice.

The successful applicant will manage a team to ensure staff happiness is at the forefront of mind, ensuring positive growth and ultimately staff retention.

Client Responsibilities:

  • Build strong rapport with clients and be the escalation point for client concerns
  • Make an effort to know what motivates your clients
  • Take detailed briefs and reverse brief where required
  • Stay on top of client challenges, objectives and goals
  • Lead and own strategic presentations
  • Ensure that every presentation has a strong story and flow
  • Outline and re-iterate the role of channels within the media mix
  • Oversee the implementation of all campaigns
  • Ensure all campaigns deliver against agreed KPI’s and manage expectations where circumstances prevent delivery of these.
  • Chase client feedback on our output, processes, and product
  • Ensure that all clients participate and score high on client feedback
  • Maintain efficiency and profitability via accurate scoping
  • Manage budgets for ad spend and maintain accurate invoicing
  • Contribute to business development, including research, proposals, and attending pitch presentations

Team Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all members are adequately trained and up-skilled
  • Maximise team hierarchy by working on all clients at your respective level and responsibilities
  • Meet regularly with direct reports on workload/workflow
  • Meet on occasion with direct reports on their individual performance, growth and development
  • Lead and arrange training initiatives for all team members
  • Maintain work/life balance of you and your team members
  • Assist and evaluate all recruitment initiatives
  • Meet regularly with your line manager updating them on the performance of client and team
  • Work closely with channel leads maintaining consistency and standardisation of output
  • Participate proactively in a team environment to help drive culture
  • Working with your Project Manager to ensure that planning, organizing, and directing the completion of specific projects are on time, on budget, and within scope.

About you:

  • High level of digital marketing experience
  • Excellent track record in planning and executing marketing strategies
  • Experience managing at least 3 direct reports
  • Excellent history of client servicing
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Results and performance-focused
  • In-depth understanding of digital marketing & eCommerce landscape
  • Excellent analytical capabilities and a data-driven mindset
  • Proactive nature and ability to get the job done with initiative
  • Proven ability to drive buy-in for recommendations through sharing digital marketing best practices and supporting with quantifiable data.
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders to achieve positive results
  • Experience in developing processes to increase productivity
