Senior PR Executive

My client is looking for a PR gun to join their team. Working with Australia’s media houses to create cut-through stories that help Australians save money and make better money choices, you’ll need to have an innate understanding of what drives news, and how to create a splash across all media channels.

Reporting to the PR Manager, you will have an insatiable thirst for the next ‘big’ story, who loves brainstorming and developing creative stories, understands how to commission thought-provoking surveys and has the ability to analyse data and crunch numbers for maximum PR impact and relevancy. You’ll not only be a strong writer, but you’ll also be confident in communicating with various media stakeholders & always have the overall brand at the forefront of your ideas.

Strong interpersonal skills are a must as this role involves developing and maintaining media relationships with a wide cross-section of journalists as well as collaborating with other departments such as the Content team and Data team.

The PR Executive is the glue of the PR department, so being highly organised is a must. So, if you have 3+ years PR experience, a passion for driving big stories to the media, a flair for writing and solid media relations skills this could be the ideal role for you.

Necessary skills & experience:

• Strong written skills, the ability to think creatively as well as analytically
• Solid media relations experience – i.e. liaising with journalists, writing media releases, understanding of current media landscape
• 3+ years communications experience
• Impeccable time management skills & a strong ability to communicate with various stakeholders & departments.
