Account Executive / New Logo Hunter

Sydney Permanent Up to AU$105000.00 per annum + + Super + $90k comms

An exciting role waits for an experienced Account Executive and new logo hunter to join the biggest global player when it comes to hosting virtual events and meetings.

This is not like MS teams but rather where you are hosting 20 000+ people or where conferences go 3-4 days, or it could be investor relations meeting that must be held urgently over multiple countries and 1000’s of people. They could be doing virtual product launches etc.

Clients are now 100% on board with virtual events and in the future, they see hybrids of virtual and real and after a hugely successful 2020 they want to capitalize and grow more and are now driving new business further.

In terms of the role, this is a pure sales role so you will be focussed on and responsible for finding new client opportunities.

They have BDRs in place who help generate meetings and book appointments for you so you typically don’t have to do that aspect, but you can if you want. You would then go and sell the SaaS offering/ solution and be supported by sales engineers etc. who can talk through the technical aspects. In addition, they have video and marketing collateral to support you and once the sale is closed the after sales team take over and the account management team also then look after the customer.

Their USP is their global reach and presence, plus they have a huge support and service team of about 1500 people to ensure every conference or meeting is delivered successfully. They also have incredible security with their technology and local support on the ground as well. They deliver 24/7 and have Sales Engineers across the different time zones to support.

Sales cycles can vary from weeks and months for big virtual events already selling for next year and then sometimes deals can happen overnight for investor relations. If your target was $1.2mil for the year that would be 4-5 virtual conferences big ones. Their focus is large events as that is their real sweet spot.

Experience required:

  • 3 – 5 years of experience in a sales role, specifically selling into new accounts
  • Required experience prospecting and closing net new deals.
  • Prior professional experience working with minimal supervision.
  • Self-starter with excellent time-management skills.
  • Superior relationship management and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; experience delivering compelling presentations to large audiences.
  • Willingness to travel within assigned territory, on short notice, as needed.
