Head of Sales

My client, a SaaS-Enabled marketplace booking platform that is revolutionising a $6.2 trillion-dollar global industry, is looking to expand their presence in Australia with a business-critical, self-starter “Head of Sales” hire.

They have a multi award-winning high-traffic booking platform that has quickly become a game changing industry leader with users in over 130 countries. They are trusted by millions of customers who transact millions of appointment bookings monthly with thousands of businesses worldwide.

This role is targeted towards leaders of business or middle management stars looking to step up. You will have a background in the SaaS software space, ideally with a blend of Marketplace experience, and you will be able to demonstrate how you have successfully built and scaled a business, and sales machine, from the ground up!

The Role and your responsibilities

  • Develop and ensure the execution of national sales and account management strategies for all company products, achieve sales, profit and market share objectives for all national and regional accounts.
  • Execute and drive end-to-end sales cycles (planning, forecasting, prospecting, account planning, sales execution, pipeline/funnel management) and provide accurate reporting and forecasts.
  • Create, refine and standardise sales processes to improve operational efficiency, sales productivity, and customer satisfaction. These processes include forecasting and pipeline management, discount approval policies, payments processing requests, and hiring, and training procedures. Implement tools and systems to support these processes.
  • Set, communicate and manage performance expectations, ensuring the achievement of monthly, quarterly and annual targets for sales and account management functions.
  • Effectively manage KPI’s/Metrics, around online bookings ratios, usage, retention, conversions and churn. Develop training programs and implement development plans
  • Recruit, hire, train and manage a strong team of sales and account management personnel to capture market share
  • Develop sales compensation plans (including policies and procedures) that are competitive and compelling while also in alignment with the company’s objectives and financial goals. Establish sales commission processes and an attainment reporting system.
  • Ensure the sales force has the tools and resources they need to be successful, such as product training and literature, sales “playbooks,” negotiation training, etc. Plan events to build enthusiasm and comradery within the sales force.
  • Contribute to the development of new product features by collating merchant feedback received
  • Ensure positive merchant experience through effective communication, swift resolution of merchant inquiries and requests, sound decision making and problem solving.
  • Motivate, drive, coach and empower the team with the skills to provide first class service to all prospective and existing users of their multi-award-winning platform.
