My client, a global SaaS software company from the US with offices across the world is looking to setup in Sydney with a business-critical, self-starter, first person on the ground > ANZ_Regional Sales Manager or ANZ_Regional Sales Director hire.

This business is a global industry leader who has a multi award-winning procurement and purchasing software that is rich in market leading features and USPs to take to market.

With a big focus on growth, they are seeing 20-30% YOY growth in NZ and Australia grew 60% from 2020 to 2021, whilst all sales being managed from their New Zealand office. They now want to put someone permanent here in Australia to drive new business and manage their existing accounts, which are mid-market to enterprise accounts across: Financial Services, higher education, government, research institutes etc. However, these are just some of the verticals that are doing well for them and the tech can reach into so many more verticals.

This role is targeted towards new business development experts who thrive on the prospect of building a cloud-based SaaS procurement business in Australia from the ground. This is a hunter focused role which will see you roll up your sleeves and work hard in bringing new logos into the business and onto the platform. You will have a background in the software / SaaS sector, enjoy working in what feels like a start-up environment, not shy away from working remotely and on your own to begin with and you will be able to demonstrate how you have successfully achieved your sales quotas and ideally you would have built and scaled high performing sales teams too.

Responsibilities

  • Meet or exceed annual targets for both number and total contract value of new accounts closed.
  • Establish and execute a detailed overall territory sales plan.
  • Actively identify high value prospects and build and execute a tailored win plan for these top prospect accounts.
  • Actively nurture prospect accounts by establishing and building relationships with key contacts.
  • Complete weekly outbound lead generation activities, including consistent follow-up.
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations and give product demonstrations to potential and existing customers.
  • Manage response to proposals, RFPs, and contract negotiations / revisions.
  • Identify, establish and cultivate partnerships to drive new accounts and related revenue.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and coordinate sales efforts with marketing activities.
  • Participate in internal meetings as required.

For this role you need to be tenacious, sophisticated and have the following skill set:

  • At least six years’ experience in B2B sales.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales quotas.
  • Strong negotiation and consultative selling skills.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Superb interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly build rapport with prospects.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Existing network and experience selling into target industries (higher education, Australian state government, research institutions and/or aged care).
  • An understanding of ERP platforms and procurement solutions and technology a plus.
