Senior Business Development Manager

Off the back of their huge success overseas, Salt has partnered exclusively with a scale-up digital marketplace that is launching in Australia in the coming months.

To build on their tremendous success overseas, they are looking to scale out their sales teams in Sydney. This Senior Business Development Manager will join the team in Sydney and your primary goal is to generate new business opportunities with businesses to feature on the marketplace and demonstrate how it will help to achieve their marketing goals.

Understanding the digital advertising landscape is key to being successful in this role. We’re looking for a BDM to drive and generate new business by developing proposals and solutions for clients using the ecosystem of channels and assets and provided presentations/tools.

This is a unique opportunity that grants you the ability to leverage off a cutting-edge technology platform with a super slick design and play an integral role in building the brand here in Australia – from the beginning.

Responsibilities:

• Covering the state of NSW your role will be to generate new business opportunities utilising a number of new business strategies including cold calls, LinkedIn, networking, and sales presentations of the platform
• Selling the platform and associated marketing campaigns that can include online advertising including ( eDM campaigns, social media campaigns and digital editorial features)
• Run face to face and virtual demo’s of the platform with new prospects
• Recognise opportunities with existing clients
• Must have a sense of urgency in all that you do and must be outcome-driven
• Report to the regional sales director and meet KPI’s
• Develop, adapt and plan sales strategies to optimise best outcomes
• Brief, pitch and present confidently to new clients and close deals

Experience:

• Experience in B2B sales, Media sales or selling digital marketing solutions (Ideal)
• Pipeline reporting and management of sales pipelines
• Strong Microsoft office skills (Excel)
• Have a clear understanding of KPI’s and confidence in reaching targets on a weekly basis

The earning potential in this role is uncapped with realistic earnings for high performers in excess of $170k.
