Our client is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Android Developer to join their high performing tech team on a 6-month contract. This role will be fast paced and is an exciting opportunity to utilise your skills with Android technology and frameworks to develop high quality products.

Ideal candidates will:

• Be comfortable with ambiguity and open to learning whatever it takes to solve new challenges
• Have at least three years of experience shipping applications in a professional setting
• Explain technical details to stakeholders across disciplines and levels of expertise
• Strongly grasp how effort, risk, and dependencies impact timelines
• Be familiar working in an Agile setting
• Dabble in other platforms and seek to expand their technical breadth
• Have Experience as an Android native developer.
• Have Experience with Kotlin programming and Native application environment.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in an IT related field
• Android: Strong object-oriented design and programming skills in Java (J2EE/ J2ME)
• Familiar with Android SDK
• Familiar with Android Studio as well as build automation tools such as Gradle
• Good understanding of HTTP, REST APIconcepts
• Experience with implementing the Material Design standard.
• Strong knowledge of Google Material Design
• Ability to work with minimum instruction about UI and UI designs to be able to interpret accessible designs
