Check Point Security Specialist

Apply your broad experience and deep expertise in multiple areas of engineering, utilising agile and/or lean ways of working to ensure the delivery of a superior network experience for a diverse range of customers. Provide specialist analysis in specific technology domains, including developing platform specific technology roadmaps and making technology investment recommendations.

What you’ll be doing:

• Ensuring that security, network systems and components interact with internal processes and systems to deliver market leading customer experiences. You do this by using your expertise and experience of domain components to address incidents, problems and upgrades to optimise network performance.

• Contributing significantly to the design, build, installation, integration, and maintenance of multiple complex platforms and/or systems.

• Assessing capability of vendor solutions and offerings to meet business requirements and managing vendor performance and technology delivery.

• Maintaining a high level of capability in new and emerging cyber security technologies, cloud, networks tools, systems and processes so that you can model continuous learning and actively provide coaching and mentoring of other engineering team members.

• Engaging with diverse stakeholders to understand and translate customer needs and requirements, into realisable and commercially viable products, services, or systems and/or networks infrastructure.

Your skills:

• A minimum of 10 years’ experience working in an Operational and/or Engineering role and have expertise with a variety of deployment, automation, configuration management and optimisation tools.

• Strong understanding of Cyber Security vendor solutions, especially Check Point.

• Extensive knowledge of core Routing, Switching, Automation and Firewall practices in the Cyber Security domain.

• Hands on experience with Python, Ansible or Ansible Tower for software engineering purposes is advantageous.

• Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure or GCP).

• Proven experience in enhancing CI/CD capabilities to reduce cycle time while retaining quality.
