Data Warehouse Data Modeler

Our client is seeking an accomplished Data Modeler with experience working in Data Warehousing Environments. The ideal candidate will be a confident communicator and will have strong client interaction skills on top of their technical capabilities.

Responsibilities:

• Designing, maintaining, and enhancing data warehousing systems
• Designing, building and maintaining feeds for new and existing data sources
• Ensuring ongoing accuracy of data feeds, monitoring for changes in the source systems
• Experience in large scale data warehousing and data lake including analysis, design, architect and development of complex transformation and mappings & design using, data stage and data services
• Deep knowledge leading large data warehouses implementations, working as data architect/modeler
• Hands on experience in production support process, analyses issues and identify opportunities to improve the existing process and to resolve issues.
• Experience with Disaster management and mitigation
• Established, advocated, and enforced data management best practices, principles, and standards for performance, reliability, scalability, security, and reusability at an enterprise scale.
• Deep understanding of Data Governance, Data Strategies, Data Analytics, Data Integration, Data Architecture, Data Manipulation, Data Analysis, Data Mappings, Data Profiling, Data Strategy, Data Mining and Data Quality Improvement.
• Working experience in various reporting tools.
• Identifying, analyzing, and interpreting trends or patterns in complex data sets and connecting those trends to actionable insights and business needs.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Information technology or related field is required
• Need candidate with Erwin, OLAP and OLTP
• Responsible for creating, and maintaining, conceptual, logical and physical data models.
• Defining information requirements for management and business intelligence purposes
• Facilitate data discovery sessions involving business subject matter experts
• Create application logical models
• Facilitate data modeling sessions
• Create data warehouse model including logical model, physical model
• Extensive knowledge and experience with Erwin: Data Modeler, Work Group Edition, and Web Portal
• 5 years of experience Data Modeling for operational and data warehouse systems (enterprise and dimensional data modeling)
• Experience troubleshooting data model issues that affect database performance
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to interpret business requirements and translate into a DB design solution
