Salt is excited to have teamed up with one of Australia’s leading Financial Services organisations, who is currently seeking an Engineering Manager to join one of their innovative digital engineering teams on a permanent basis.

The Role

As an Engineering Manager, you will be managing one of our Financial Services client’s cross-functional engineering teams as them embark on an exciting digital transformation project.

The Engineering Manager will be responsible for overall team uplift and ensuring that high standards are met, identifing improvements for system architecture, help to define and set your team’s strategy and their delivery success.

Key Skills and Competencies

The successful Engineering Manager should have the following skill set:

• Previous experience managing Software Engineering teams
• Have a solid understanding of the day-to-day operations of managing Software Engineering teams
• Experienced in defining strategy, developing polices, processes and procedures
• Ability to work closely with various business stakeholders and understand their needs and expectations
• Technical knowledge of various technologies (Java, Node.js, React.js, TypeScript, GraphQL)
• Understanding of Public Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Experience working in an Agile environment
• Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
