The Company

Salt is excited to have teamed up with one of the Big 4 Banks based in Melbourne, who is currently seeking a Engineering Manager to join their one of their high-performing Engineering teams on a permanent basis.

The Role

As a Engineering Manager, you will should be technical as well as have experience in people leadership, and will be responsible for:

• Managing a small team of Engineers
• Training and mentoring junior members of the team
• Team uplift and ensuring high standards are met and maintained
• Driving best practices and development principles
• Overseeing the development of projects
• Leading project delivery
• Setting the Target State Architecture, Solution Architect, Solution Design
• Liaising with various business stakeholders to gather project requirements and ensure that projects are delivered on time

Key Skills and Competencies

The successful Engineering Manager should have the following skill set:

• Previous experience in leading / managing Engineering teams
• An extensive technical background and experience with JavaScript (React.js, Angular), Typescript, Public Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure), DevOps
• Experience working in an Agile environment
• Strong knowledge of Solution Architecture and Design
• Experience in setting the tech and testing strategies, developing product road-maps and design documents
• Ability to oversee various engineering teams and distribute the development workload
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage business stakeholders
• Full working rights in Australia
