Enterprise Data Management Lead

** 12-month fixed-term contract**

Working within the Actuarial and Analytics team, this role will be responsible for the data management function including governance, procurement, and management of vendors, end-to-end delivery of data analytics initiatives, data platform architecture, and platform management.

The role:

Data/technical architecture and platform management

o Working with vendors, lead the design, build, and implementation of the evolving EDW/Data Platform

o Accountable for solutions delivered meeting acceptable standards including user experience, performance, scalability, security, maintainability, and cost-efficiency

BI and ETL Design and Implementation

o Review BI and ETL solution designs and provide technical architecture guidance as required

o Be responsible for the collaboration between internal business stakeholders, internal IT/BI team, and external vendors as required.

o Manage the end-to-end delivery of initiatives from requirements gathering, design, build, test, go-live, and user training

Data Governance

o Development, execution, and maintenance of data policy, standards, and processes including all aspects of data management such as data lifecycle, data usage and sharing, data quality, master data management, metadata management, data architecture, and data security.

o Monitor and report adherence to data policy, standards, and processes

o Stakeholders engagement, training, and education on data policies, standards, and processes

Leadership

o Responsible for the engagement and performance of the Enterprise data management team

About you

• Strong knowledge of data warehousing and data processing activities, including databases, data profiling, ETL process design, data conversion, table structure

• Experience with SQL Server, SSIS Development, and SQL

• Strong knowledge of Data Management, Enterprise Architecture, Data Governance, and Data Integration best practices

• Experience in vendor management including, monitoring, reviewing, and evaluation of contract compliance

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or another related field

• Extensive experience in program and project management and delivery of multiple projects (data-related projects desirable)

• Knowledge and understanding of the insurance industry and/or financial services an advantage
