Our client has created a startup hub that is working to change the way we travel. Created by a founding team with proven success for revolutionizing digital products, they are again creating a brilliant cutting edge market disrupter.

By combining technological smarts and their expertise in travel, they can help travellers experience more of the good stuff, with less of the bad. With ambitious growth plans for 2021 and beyond they have plans to revolutionise travel insurance, but they need you to help them get there.

The position will suit a Technical Leader who can provide technical leadership, insight, and product milestones for the team. There is a team already in place, so it’s important to come on board and set best practices for the engineers in a collaborative sense. Once the foundation is in place, the next phase will be to scale out the team and grow the practice.

In spite of the concept and product still being in its infancy, it has customers using the platform and they are growing fast. There is though, still a need and huge opportunity for further innovation and adaptations for this platform and company.

Get in on the ground floor and be the engineering architect of what will no doubt be a massively successful product offering.

A Bit About You

• You’ll have six (or more) years’ experience in professional software development
• Previous experience in start-ups and scale-ups is strongly preferred, but if you don’t have this show us your entrepreneurial side in your application
• You’ll have the confidence to make decisions with imperfect information, a tall ask but essential to the role
• You’ll ideally have experience in React, React Native, Python and AWS
• You’ll have excellent communication skills, with the ability to talk to your team, customers, and company executives

A Bit About The Job

• You’ll be a key member of the leadership team for our startup hub, working closely with our division lead, and product and marketing departments
• You’ll lead the development of new and exciting products using an Agile methodology
• You’ll be an engineering guru with an unrivalled knowledge of best practice development principles
• You’ll set the technology strategy for our start-up hub and lead the team to execute it
• You’ll be building the engineering team, and building our culture while you’re at it, with the chance to make it what you want
