Seeking a well-rounded IT Business Analyst to be responsible for Investment Applications support, engagement with business stakeholders to understand and capture requirements and work with the wider IT team for a world leading funds manager.

Melbourne/Sydney based role, hybrid working.
Working with one of the world’s largest Investment funds.
6-Month rolling contract $900.00 a day

THE ROLE:
Experience in Funds Management or related
Experience (5+ years) in IT or related area.
Experience providing business analysis services and delivering solutions to front, middle or back-office functions including accounting.
Self-starter and quality driven.
In depth understanding of SDLC processes.
Ability to engage with business stakeholders to understand business needs, agree and communicate solutions that deliver value.
Ability to write clear and concise requirements from business needs.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
Tertiary qualifications in IT, Accounting, or related study preferable.
Qualifications in Finance advantageous.
May have post-graduate qualifications.
Certification in business analysis (e.g. BABOK, CBAP, CCBA)
Business acumen, financial metrics, and key performance drivers
Understanding and knowledge of Institutional Funds Management.
Experience on some or all of the following: Fund Accounting/Valuations, Market Data, Broker & Custodian interfaces, Compliance systems, Reconciliation systems, Performance Reporting, Portfolio Management systems, Execution Management systems.
In depth understanding of SDLC processes.
Ability to write clear and concise requirements from business needs.
Rigour to follow through on test strategy and execution where necessary.
