IT Business Analyst – Investment Solutions

Seeking a well-rounded IT Business Analyst to be responsible for Investment Applications support, engagement with business stakeholders to understand and capture requirements and work with the wider IT team for a world leading funds manager.

WHAT’S ON OFFER

• Melbourne/Sydney based role, hybrid working.
• Working with one of the world’s largest Investment funds.
• 6-Month rolling contract $900.00 a day
• World Leading Fund Manager.

THE ROLE:

• Experience in Funds Management or related
• Experience (5+ years) in IT or related area.
• Experience providing business analysis services and delivering solutions to front, middle or back-office functions including accounting.
• Self-starter and quality driven.
• In depth understanding of SDLC processes.
• Ability to engage with business stakeholders to understand business needs, agree and communicate solutions that deliver value.
• Ability to write clear and concise requirements from business needs.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• Tertiary qualifications in IT, Accounting, or related study preferable.
• Qualifications in Finance advantageous.
• May have post-graduate qualifications.
• Certification in business analysis (e.g. BABOK, CBAP, CCBA)
• Business acumen, financial metrics, and key performance drivers
• Understanding and knowledge of Institutional Funds Management.
• Experience on some or all of the following: Fund Accounting/Valuations, Market Data, Broker & Custodian interfaces, Compliance systems, Reconciliation systems, Performance Reporting, Portfolio Management systems, Execution Management systems.
• In depth understanding of SDLC processes.
• Ability to write clear and concise requirements from business needs.
• Rigour to follow through on test strategy and execution where necessary.
• Visio and/or alternate process/system mapping software.
• Bloomberg AIM/PORT, FactSet, SQL Server, FIX protocols, Omgeo CTM, SWIFT messaging, Aladdin, Efront, Salesforce.
• Fund accounting software – e.g., VPM and Investran (FIS products).
• SQL Server databases, Azure DevOps (Team Foundation Server), Service
• Automated batch job schedulers.
• Risk and control frameworks appropriate funds management.
• Optimisation software – Northfield, Axioma, Barra.
