Lead Full Stack developer – React – Node – AWS

Exciting and established software development company focused on delivering AI / CX solutions are seeking an experienced Lead / Senior Full Stack Developer with excellent React.js – Node.js – Python experience

The Lead/ Senior role will guide a small team and you will be a hands on developer and contribute in the in the design, build, and maintain high-quality technology solutions that deliver an exceptional customer experience.

Working as an integral part of an Agile development team, this role will require close and continuous collaboration with fellow team members to translate user stories and functional requirements into resilient & secure technical designs which will be implemented as production-ready application code using Javascript and related technologies

Responsibilities:

• Full lifecycle application design and development using Javascript – React.js – Node.js – Python
• Microservices development knowledge, engineer with a breadth of experience in a microservice architecture, and test-driven development.
• Proactively engage in the remediation of software issues related to code quality, security, and/or pattern/frameworks.
• Mentoring, guiding, and developing a team of developers with a focus on quality and best practice coding standards
• Knowledge in Javascript application development frameworks and demonstrate proficiency – React.js – Node.js – Python
• Knowledge and experience preferred CI/CD – Cloud experience

Qualifications:

• Experience as a senior software engineer / developer
• Experience contributing to modern front-end codebases leveraging technologies such as React, Typescript and the associated ecosystem
• Experience building REST APIs and other backend systems that interact with a persistent database (with Python or Node.js)
• Understanding of software development life cycle, including CI/CD and testing best practices
• Strong knowledge of Javascript/Typescript ecosystem (Open Source packages, yarn, npm, etc.)
• Ability to read and understand existing codebases as well as working on new projects
• An understanding of what it takes to make code “production ready” on both the front-end and back-end: how to handle and log errors,
• Experience effectively organising and mentoring more junior staff technically
• Ability to communicate effectively with both product management and fellow engineers
• Exposure to AWS, Google Cloud or Azure
