Network and Security Cloud Engineer

Our Global Client is seeking an experienced Network Cloud Engineer to join their high performing Networks and Security team where you will be involved in large data centre migration. With your proven experience within enterprise environments, you will be motivated to implement your skills across a range of IT systems with a heavy focus on Network and Cloud Security.

Essential Duties and Functions:

• Participates in the network life cycle of planning, design, implementation and optimization of network infrastructure.
• Proven experience with Data Center migrations
• Executes network implementations, ensuring adherence to security policies.
• Applies core body of networking knowledge across multiple vendors.
• Provisions Firewall rules and access control lists.
• Administers DNS moves, adds and changes.
• Deploys Cellular Modems for Backup and Disaster Recovery.
• Proactively maintains the health of all network hardware and software. This includes configuration compliance with both network and security standards.

Experience Required:

• Scripting techniques including; ACI, F5 tmsh, general script- driven configuration.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proven experience using of Cisco, Nexus Core, F5 ADCs, Check Point Firewalls, VMWare NSX
• Broad knowledge of current and emerging network and security technologies.
• Knowledgeable in routing TCP/IP traffic using both iBGP and eBGP.
• Troubleshooting and supporting SDN platform
• Experience with DC- terminated VPN technologies (site-to-site etc.)
• Educated in switching technologies including Spanning Tree & Nexus VPC technology.
• Application Delivery Controller functions (load balancing, traffic profiles, protocol gateway etc)
• Linux/Unix based appliance knowledge desirable
• Ability to foster a cooperative work environment.
