Senior Front End Developer – Angular

It is critical for you to have experience within true Agile Scrum Teams on new Enterprise Application Development. This includes working alongside other Developers, BA’s, Scrum Masters and Product Owners.

You will have been an active participant across all ceremonies sharing feedback and knowledge to benefit the team and business.

You will work hard to understand the Product Owner and thus, the customer. From this you will actively challenge, clarify and build based on your technological expertise.

You will be expected to provide application support until the product has been formally handed over to service deliver teams. This also means that you will have a good standard of Technical documentation for handovers.

You will support the team when performing production releases through our CI/CD pipeline.

You must be comfortable in delivering quality. Our definition of done means no bugs. It’s the teams responsibility to ensure this. Not the tester.

Desired Skills and Experience

You MUST have demonstrated experience using various coding languages and frameworks including:

· Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3

· Proficient understanding of advanced client-side libraries and frameworks, including AngularJS, React, BackboneJS, Angular 2/4/5/6

· Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery and Bootstrap

· Proficient understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX

· Proficient understanding of implementing responsive designs

· Proficient understanding of cross-browser, cross-platform, cross-device compatibility issues and ways to work around them

· Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git/SVN

· Proficient understanding of XML, JSON and interacting with APIs

· Proficient understanding of front end task managers, such as Grunt, Gulp, Bower

· Proficient understanding of client-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS

· Proficient understanding of integrated unit-testing for the front-end

· Good understanding of SEO principles and ensuring that applications will adhere to them

· Great communication skills and a keen eye for detail

It would be great if you had some of the following skill sets too:

· Microsoft Visual Studio Code

· PrimeNG UI Components for Angular

· Cross-platform micro-service deployment, eg .NET Core or Mono on Windows and Linux

· Containerised .NET application development and tools, eg Docker, Kubernetes

· Understanding of service discovery and configuration tools like Consul

· Understanding of fault tolerance and distributed systems development

· Apache Cassandra (DataStax Enterprise)

· RESTful API Modeling Language (RAML) and Mulesoft Integration Platform

· Continuous deployment, eg Atlassian Bamboo

· Mobile application development, native or using frameworks such as Xamarin or Ionic

Soft Skills
