Senior Insights Analyst

Great opportunity to join a leading health insurance provider as they continue their Data Science journey.

The Senior Insights Lead requires an advanced level of analytical and problem-solving skills coupled with a financial aptitude and PHI knowledge gained through prior industry experience or relevant studies.

The role

• Provide analytical solutions and actionable insights to drive performance and business improvements
• Collaboration with stakeholders in the design and development of business strategy and initiatives to achieve company objectives
• Develop end-to-end analytical solutions including data extraction, manipulation, analysis and dashboarding/visualisations for the purpose of insights and recommendation
• Present findings, recommendations and insights to stakeholders using storytelling, visualisation and other techniques
• Identify opportunities to apply analytics to improve business outcomes
• Support data literacy initiative and promote analytics solutions adoption across the organisation
• Mentor and support the BI team through coaching support on performance, growth and development
• Lead other BI team members in various business projects/initiatives

About you

• Bachelor degree in relevant disciplines
• At least 5-10+ years of commercial experience in a data-driven analytics and insights role
• Strong proficiency with SQL and/or statistical software packages (e.g. Python, R, automation)
• Strong proficiency in Business Intelligence platform, Power BI or Yellowfin is preferable
• Advanced Excel skills
• In-depth experience in analytical techniques and application
• Strong commercial focus
• Demonstrated experience with large, complex business problems and datasets
• Superior analytical, research, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to communicate complex quantitative analysis in a clear, precise, and actionable manner
