Senior Java Engineer – Melbourne CBD

The Company

Salt is excited to have partnered with one of Australia’s leading Financial Services organisations based in Melbourne CBD, who is currently seeking a Senior Java Engineer to join one of their innovative engineering teams on a permanent basis.

The Role

As a Senior Java Engineer, you will be joining one of our Financial Services client’s high-performing Foreign Exchange (FX) Trading teams, where you’ll help with the development of various complex APIs and Micro services, as well as the delivery of multi-cloud solutions across AWS and Azure.

Key Skills and Competencies:

The successful Senior Java Engineer should have the following skill set;

• Expertise in Java related technologies
• Experience in developing complex Java solutions using Java 8+
• Strong knowledge working with Micro service architectures (Spring boot, Gradle, Kafka)
• Hands-on experience in developing RESTful APIs
• Commercial experience with DevOps principles and the AWS ecosystem
• Proficient in building CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins)
• Experience working in an Agile environment
• Australian citizen or Permanent Resident
