The Company

Salt is excited to have teamed up a growing Sports Organisation based in Melbourne, who is currently seeking a Senior Java Engineer to join their Engineering teams on a permanent basis.

The Role

As a Senior Java Engineer, you’ll be joining our Sports Media client’s digital engineering team, where you’ll help to design and develop various backend solutions using complex APIs and Micro services, which are used to connect with millions of people worldwide.

Key Skills and Competencies

The successful Senior Java Engineer should have the following skill set:

• Extensive experience in various Java related technologies
• In depth knowledge developing micro services architectures (Spring Boot)
• Commercial experience with JPA or Hibernate
• Experience with Public Cloud Platforms (AWS)
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Knowledge of Messaging Queues (Kafka)
• Proficient in Unit Testing and TDD
• Experience working in an Agile environment
• Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
