Senior Network Engineer

Seeking a Senior Networking Engineer to come work across a major enterprise network for one of the big-4 banks.

THE ROLE:

You will be responsible for designing, operating, and maintaining a major Enterprise network, leveraging the latest in high scale networking hardware and advanced tooling.

The successful candidate will be working closely with Engineering Managers, Network Consultants and DevOps Consultants. As an experienced Wireless Network Reliability Engineer, you will have experience across design, implementations, and optimising enterprise wireless LAN and other wireless technologies.

TECHNICAL SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:

• Strong and proven experience in networking technologies.
• Strong practical knowledge of designing, implementing, and troubleshooting network in a multi-vendor environment such as Cisco/Juniper etc.
• Strong practical knowledge of TCP/IP, routing and switching protocols (examples: BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, and STP) and data centre environment.
• Experience in shell Scripting and/or coding languages such as Python, Perl, or Shell (bash, ksh, csh) or similar preferred.
• Industry certifications such as CCIE, JNCIE, ITIL certifications a plus.
• A relevant degree in a related technical discipline or equivalent experience in a large-scale network environment.
