Senior Network Engineer – Healthcare

Looking for a Network Engineer to be responsible for maintaining and building the data network, infrastructure, and communications for one of Australia’s leading Healthcare providers.

• $135,000 Package Inclusive of superannuation
• Remote working anywhere is Australia / 12-Month FTC

THE ROLE:

This role is part of the Cloud and Platforms group, which aims to provide a flexible and reliable data network for key stakeholders through continuous improvement, supporting modernisation and bring innovative solutions to the healthcare provider.

• Maintaining and administering data networks and related computing environments including systems software, applications software, hardware and configurations.
• Protecting data, software, and hardware by coordinating, planning, and implementing network security measures.
• Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving hardware, software, and other network and system problems.

TECHNICAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

MUST HAVE:

• MUST HAVE: Demonstrated knowledge of Cisco Systems, Palo Alto, Juniper, Extreme Networks and
• Tertiary and vendor-aligned technical qualifications with platform (server & OS), connectivity and security elements (e.g., a university degree + CCNA, or similar).
• 3+ years commercial experience in enterprise network infrastructure implementation and administration.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience supporting, LAN/WAN technologies and services.
• Knowledge of the ITIL framework and experience implementing ITIL-based IT Service Management processes.
• Demonstrated knowledge of MS Office productivity, communication & collaboration technologies.
• Experience with the installation and administration of distributed and virtual computing platforms.
• Provision of Level 3 support for escalated service desk incidents and service requests.
• Effectively demonstrates leadership, teamwork, problem solving, initiative and integrity.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills; technical writing experience preferred.
