A leading Australian business is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Software Platform / DevOps Engineer to join their high performing tech team. This role will be fast paced and an exciting opportunity to broaden your skills across Microsoft Azure and cloud platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver, maintain and implement high quality technical solutions with a core focus on containerisation Possess and apply a broad knowledge of DevOps principles, practices, and procedures of infrastructure systems and services to the completion of difficult assignments.
Enable continuous deployment cycles and on-demand deployment processes
Monitor applications and systems, identifying issues proactively and mitigating them to improve the customer experience
Perform ‘code’ and ‘infrastructure as code’ deployments
Communicate with key stakeholders on planned changes, incidents and service improvement plans
Analyse, define, document and/or review technical requirements for infrastructure and supporting components, logical processes and operating systems, interfaces with other services, internal and external checks and controls, and outputs.
Produce and maintain relevant documentation to describe logical and physical configuration, standards, testing and changes where applicable.
Qualifications
Must have engineering experience in either power scripting, power shell, python or similar
Competency in Microsoft Azure and cloud applications necessary
Excellent Containerisation skills – Kubernetes
Ability to manage time and priorities (Urgent vs Important).
Analytical, and can identify patterns and discrepancies in data.
Able to co-relate real-time scenarios to software testing.
Has a passion for Software Quality Assurance and Testing.
Ability to test and think with an understanding of the end users experience.
SQL/Database skills, specifically the ability to query relational SQL databases as part of test validation
HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS knowledge
Experience using Jenkins as part of Continuous Integration (CI)
