They are looking for a digitally savvy External Communications Manager to join the team. The External Communications Manager is a critical member of the Communications team, supporting the Head of Communications to develop and execute the external communications strategy that protects and promotes the organisation’s reputation and drives positive perceptions across the EMEA region. You will work in a complex environment collaborating with the PR team in Asia and delivering the brands PR messaging and take lead on all external written communications including emails and campaigns.
Maintaining and updating the organisation’s external narrative including aspects such as the Annual Review, key messages, announcements, thought leadership and social media content for the EMEA region.
Managing and delivering major national campaigns and activity that supports the strategy to create a favourable public image.
Protecting and developing the brand, reputation, and its values externally by delivering day-to-day media relations, including monitoring, management and mitigation of reputation affecting issues along with the production of swift and effective PR/CR responses to unexpected events / crises
Supporting the management and delivery of their social media strategy, acting as an ambassador to others on how social media can be used effectively.
Confident in delivering consistent email communications.
Writing and editing copy when required to ensure that all communications are created and produced in a manner consistent with the brand.
Management and delivery of key campaigns for a b2b and b2c audience
Key skills and experience required:
Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent & relevant work experience
At least 5 years external communications experience within the financial services/payments industry across the EMEA or EU region required.
Evidence of a successful track record in effectively developing and delivering written content for a range of traditional and digital channels (including social media).
Experienced and emotionally intelligent, able to challenge and influence at senior levels across a large, complex organisation, previous experience collaborating with China is desirable.
