My client is a highly reputable company that specialise in the insurance space, they work closely with some of the UK’s largest insurance brokers and providers to try and ensure each person in the UK is protected and financially secure. They are a forward-thinking company with a customer-focused strategy, with an aim to ensure a loyal consumer base but with a clear vision for driving revenue. They are seeking a niche PR Manager with a strong understanding of the content and SEO landscape.

The goal is to elevate and enhance the current digital pr strategy and delivery, seeking new ways of engaging customers and driving the bottom line. This is a niche role that is seeking PR first and foremost, but the ideal candidate has developed their skills in content and SEO.

Main Job Responsibilities

  • Develop compelling written content for PR purposes including press releases, award entries, media briefings, and media alerts for traditional and digital channels
  • Meet key organic search objectives for the product breadth
  • Deliver best-in-class link acquisition plans through Digital PR and Content-Marketing tactics
  • Strong attention to detail and will be responsible for reviewing and giving strategic direction on content produced by our external agency partners (5 in total)
  • Identifying news hijacking opportunities and being the first among competitors to issue a statement and secure a link back to the website
  • Responsible for building new and nurturing existing media contacts, amplifying awareness throughout publications and Consumers.
  • Be responsible for creating and managing monthly reports on PR results and activity as well as maintaining the PR planning and coverage tracking sheets
  • Understanding of the media landscape within the financial services sector desirable but we are open to other industries
  • Working closely with Corporate Communications to ensure fully integrated plans

Key Skills and Experience

  • 4-5 years’ experience working in a PR role with a focus on digital and content
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment which would require flexibility and the ability to dive in and out of execution and strategy
  • Evidence of developing and implementing strategic media relations plans across digital and traditional channels
  • Have a track record of achieving significant PR impact and share of voice within integrated campaigns and with one-off tactical/reactive PR
  • You will have worked either agency or client side and have a good grasp of SEO is optimised through PR
  • Demonstrable track record of managing multiple projects and work streams at once
  • Ability to successfully manage, influence, and communicate effectively with multiple internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience managing agencies and putting in place scalable processes to drive and measure results
  • Experience in working in a commercially driven role driving revenue and profits
