Senior Technical Lead – Banking Client – Brussels

Duration: 6-12 freelance contract

Rate: €700 – €800 per day

Remote working is available however you have to be onsite 4 days in month.

You will join the “Engineering” team where you can play a key role in the development of the Engineering unit, including the design and implementation of IT strategies, guidelines and procedures for all the divisions

Role

The key requirements of this job are breadth of technical and business understanding, gained over long exposure to a wide variety of application and infrastructure projects, and the interpersonal skills to influence decisions taken at a senior level. You will have to :

• Take a leading role in identifying the technology strategies required to support the long-term objectives of this unit.
• Explore new technologies, tools and software keeping in mind stability, performance, development and availability
• Manage, monitor, and improve both existing and new IT processes
• Collaborate with other technical teams within Engineering Divisions
• Work directly with the responsible of the Engineering unit and other senior team members

Profile

• You have at least 8 years of working experience in the IT industry managing complex IT projects in the Financial Services industry
• You have proven experience in development stacks as well as a good command of APIs, Integration mechanisms and Data technologies in general
• You cope with problems of various levels of complexity, which can typically span across systems, functions, locations & organizations
• You have the ability to work high-level such as contributing to Positioning papers or Reference Architectures, as well as the ability to zoom on the technical challenges of implementation
• You are proactive in identifying the need for change and proposing solutions that are innovative and make the difference in improving our IT software delivery or engineering processes
• You are a problem-solver with strong analytical skills (e.g., breaking up & structuring complex problems into manageable pieces), which you apply to problems spanning across multiple IT domains
• You have excellent communication skills (verbal, written, active listening)
• You have a proven experience to effectively delegate tasks and responsibilities while maintaining overall control
• Experience of agile practices and DevOps in other companies
• A strong command of English is required (oral and written)

• Technical background is mandatory in this role with a minimum high-level development and architectural knowledge
