Are you an experienced Software Engineer who’s built desktop applications using WPF and have a basic understanding of RX?

Interested in gaining domain expertise in the world of finance?

I’m recruiting for an experienced Software Engineer on behalf of one of the biggest high street retail banks in the UK, who have an incredible brand and market reputation – so this is genuinely a great opportunity!

This role will sit within the front-office development team, working on a number of complex projects, building core pricing applications, sales/trading tickets software and many other applications that involve managing high frequency data.

They are looking for experience with C#, WPF, RX and an understanding of DevOps from a technical perspective. They are looking at bringing in newer technologies in the future like React, Typescript, GraphQL and GCP – so if you’re looking to build your expertise with these technologies long term you can also do that here, but the short term focus is absolutely using WPF.

The manager you’ll be reporting to doesn’t mind if you don’t have previous finance industry knowledge either – he’s just looking for a solid software engineer with the right technical skills and confidence to own their work.

For this Software Engineer role they are paying £72,000 to £97,000 + 10% cash allowance, 10% pension (non-contributory), 30 days holiday, bonuses and other perks. They also have a flexible working culture, the team meet up once per week in London and the rest of time work fully remotely.
