Solutions Architect

Translates business and technical requirements into an architectural blueprint to achieve business objectives, and documents all solution architecture design and analysis work.

Creates architectural designs to guide and contextualize solution development across products, services, projects and systems (including applications, technologies, processes and information).

Leads evaluation, design and analysis for the implementation of a solutions architecture across a group of specific business applications or technologies, based on enterprise business strategies, business capabilities, value streams, business requirements and enterprise standards.

Interpret business needs

■ Must understand the business strategy drivers and and the business problems to be solved by a given solution

■ Might have a basic understanding of value streams, business process and capability modeling

Assess technology

■ Must be able to assess existing and future solutions requirements and support vendor selection

■ Might be involved in assessing technology across the enterprise application/technology portfolio

Apply technology

■ Must understand existing enterprise technologies and their standard applications, as well as how to apply new technologies as needed

■ Might provide guidance on enterprise adoption of new standard technologies

Provide enterprise guidance

■ Must support delivery of solution architecture for a given initiative that complies with enterprise reference architecture

■ Might contribute to enterprise reference architecture

You are:

– minimum 5-10 years of experience as Solutions Architect with hands-on technical experience (e.g. Application Developer, Software Engineer)

– in-depth understanding of legacy IT systems and coding languages (e.g. Java, ASP.NET)

– sound knowledge of new technology stack/conecpt (e.g. Cloud, API, microservices, containerization)

– proven track record in architectural design for the implementation of enterprise platform

– experience in manufacturing, supply chain and retail industry is an advantage

– proficient in verbal and nonverbal communication (Cantonese and English; conversational level of Putonghua is required)

– experience in senior stakeholder management (both technical and non-technical) is a plus
