About the role:
They are looking for an experienced and confident Business Development Director who will lead their Transportation Industry sector. You will be selling the full suite of services and solutions (including Custom Application Development, Engineering & Testing Services, Infrastructure Solutions, Business Consulting Services, etc.). They are looking for someone that has strong and established relationships within the market (specifically the transportation space), and experience selling IT services and solutions, who will open doors for new opportunities. In this role you will be hunting new accounts within the Transportation Industry as well as play a part farmer role.
* Pursue, cultivate, generate & grow large scale relationships for new accounts in the Transportation industry.
* Drive growth through chasing new opportunities and new logos.
* Act as the account lead on assigned accounts, setting the sales strategy, and taking overall responsibility for developing and nurturing the client relationship.
* Identifying prospective clients and creating a go to market plan for the identified territory & industry vertical.
* Drive and lead customer relationships into multi-million dollar engagements.
* Enhancing business from existing accounts.
* Being a subject matter expert of the technology and vertical platforms in order to strategize & craft solutions (along with pre-sales teams) to match customer needs is essential.
* 10+ years of relevant business development experience selling IT services to customers in the Transportation domain industry in Canada.
* Experience pursuing and closing large deals while demonstrating the ability and maturity to sell and build relationships with C-Level executives.
* Consecutive quarterly and yearly quota achievement in complex selling environments utilizing a solution selling model.
* Highly motivated and a self-starter who understands the vision & goal of the company and strives to achieve the same.
* Experience ensuring high customer satisfaction by working closely with project teams.
