Engineering Manager (Toronto)

About The Role:

They are looking for a talented Engineering Manager (based in Toronto or remote in North America) to lead a team of amazing engineers and take over some of the CTO’s responsibilities. Your management will be aimed on delivering design, implementation and owning large parts of systems within the platform. You will be responsible for delivering features from its inception to launch, upholding a high code quality standard, and scaling high performing teams.

Your Focus Will Be:

* To lead a team of up to 10 engineers.
* Provide hands-on technical management, guidance, and support.
* Apply a customer-centric approach across the engineering organization.
* Help prioritize work for your team, ensuring on-time deliverables and high-quality software.

Requirements:

* 2+ years exp. leading and managing diverse engineering teams with a proven track record of success.
* 5+ years hands-on coding skills with solid CS fundamentals.
* 2+ years exp. building on top of AWS, GCP, or Azure.
* Comfortable working with ambiguity and multiple stakeholders.

Bonus Points:

* Experience with retail and ecommerce platforms.
* Experience with high-growth startup environments.
