Our client is the leading education and training service provider with more than 30 years of presence globally. They are now looking for an experienced Business Development Director to join the expanding team in Hong Kong.
The Job:
Acquire and lead client relationships; deeply understand their challenges and goals; provide advice and proposal on a broad range of learning solutions, tailored to the sophisticated needs of corporate clients
Working toward individual and team targets
Identify opportunities for up/cross-selling to new and existing corporate clients
Build and maintain a pipeline of opportunities and provide regular forecast and business reviews
Lead account strategy in generating and developing business growth opportunities
Lead corporate clients through the entire business cycle: set up meetings, conduct learning need analysis, present proposals, document contracts, monitor delivery, evaluate effectiveness and provide recommendations
Support global and regional account management to drive sales
Network and expand company presence
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure effective delivery and completion of administrative tasks
Upon request, take lead in product development projects; market and competitive research; sourcing new training partners; and go-to-market strategies
The Requirements:
Outstanding personal and professional network in financial institutions
Experience in banking and finance segment, mainland and Hong Kong business, consultancy and L&D are preferred
Proven track record of minimum 7-12 years of relevant experience in client acquisition and meeting growth targets. Candidates with less experience will be considered as Senior Manager
Strong financial product knowledge and technical competence in the development of learning solutions
General L&D operation knowledge
Strong communication and interpersonal skills in engaging and influencing clients from different levels
Experience managing P&L: able to negotiate, effectively management margin
Excellent commercial, presentation and sales skills; resourceful, self-driven and able to prioritize and multi-task
Excellent project management skills; capability to work with stakeholders in complex projects from planning to implementation
