Director of Data

Our client take their data seriously, but they don’t take themselves too seriously. That’s why they offer in-office beer, arcade and gaming area, and occasionally free food! What other better ways to connect the people at work, right?

On a typical day, you will be…

• working closely with Head of Data (who will take care of business and strategy aspects), while you will focus on managing the technical architecture and development of data platform, adopting new data and analytic technologies supporting the business strategy,
• making sure the data team (some engineers, scientists analysts) are happy and not information overloaded,
• making sure the consistency of process and usage, and champions best practices in data management,
• communicating with internal stakeholders to develop strategies for leveraging data to gain deep insights into company’s customers and businesses.

If you have 10+ years experience befriending Data (and still passionate about Data), we want you!

But it will be great if you also…

• had hands-on experience in Data Engineering/Science/Analytic and manages a bunch of data engineers/scientists/analysts,
• familiar with data warehouses/lakes, data infrastructure (GCP), and data tools for ETL (Airflow), visualisation, modelling etc. etc.,
• does SQL and Python with one eye closed,
• and got excited when receiving shiny, insightful visualisation tool (on Tableau or even better, custom built) as birthday present!

You will need to be fluent in English verbal and written to communicate with the fellow peers. Of course, some of your work buddies speaks Cantonese too.
