Data Analyst – eCommerce

My client, a leader in the eCommerce and fashion sector, is on the hunt for a Customer Insights/Data Analyst who can work with their CRM, Marketing and Business teams on projects around customer data, segmentation and creating personas to improve their digital strategy and the way they speak and sell to their target audiences.

This is a contract until the end of the year and you will need to be available immediately.

You will have experience working in an eCommerce and digital environment and strengths lie in SQL, Python and Customer segmentation. It will highly beneficial if you’ve also previously worked in a CRM team.

You will be blessed with good communication skills, comfortable presenting complex topics to stakeholders at various organisational levels both in person and remotely.

The Project will involve defining consumer personas and expected behaviours with unique and clear persona characteristics in alignment with key stakeholders

You will be able to identify consumer attributes/behaviours that aligns with persona definition from available consumer behavioural data including user profile, demographics, .com & app browsing data, email open/clicks and purchase data.

Day to day, you will…

• Perform analysis and deep-dives on consumer attributes/behavioural data and iterate to arrive at the optimal approach to classify consumers within each persona (Exasol DB, SQL)
• Develop new and/or enhance existing classification and clustering models to segment consumers, (typically in python/R on our on-premise R/Python server or Big data platform)
• Prepare extensive consumer profile for the persona with Purchase, behavioural and engagement KPIs in a business friendly format (Powerpoint or Excel) and present to stakeholders.

Key skills

• Strong coding skills using common data science toolkits: SQL, Python and/or R
• Experience on data aggregations, data models and operationalization of data mining algorithms
• Experience in developing Customer profiles, CLTV, lookalike modeling, clustering, and classification and segmentation models on large and sparse data sets
• Strong knowledge in applied statistics, distributions, statistical testing, data mining and machine learning algorithms
• Experience with NoSQL data bases is a plus
• Fluent English both verbally and written

This is a remote-based contract. You will need to be available immediately and have a strong work ethic to complete project autonomously working from home, and be comfortable presenting and working with colleagues via programs like Microsoft Teams etc. If keen to apply, email CV to tbradley@welovesalt.com.
