Power BI Developer

Power BI Developer | Remote | 1 month contract – immediate start | German speaking

This is an urgent requirement, candidates must be available to start immediately, and be German speaking. My client, based in Germany, is looking to hire a Power BI developer on a short term contract on a remote basis.

My client are currently under going a large digital transformation project and as a result require the introduction of new technologies to improve the speed of delivery. A Power BI developer is needed to offer insight and analytics to improve the reporting and forecasting of key deliverables.

Project description / tasks / job description:

– Development of Power BI dashboards and reports for claims management

– Data modelling and development of metrics

– Programming apps and data routes to automate reporting (e.g. data flows,

Automate routines, etc.)

– Connection, enrichment and linking of various data sources (Snowflake, SalesForce,

PowerCloud, SAP IS-U, master data, etc.)

– Preparation of role and authorization concept

Objective :

– (Further) development and automation of reporting and analysis tools

– Use of (Advanced) Financial Analytics to improve the forecast quality and derive from

activities

– Preparation of new analysis algorithms by integrating data sources

Experience:

– at least 5 years in dealing with business intelligence solutions (BI), databases and data analytics

– Experience in the energy industry, in the banking, IT or insurance sector with a focus Financial analytics

– Business informatics, business management, mathematical-scientific or comparable background

– Sound project experience in dealing with Power BI, databases and cross-functional. Cooperation to develop reports and key figure systems

– Experience in the adoption and further development of existing reporting landscapes

– Initiative, analytical thinking and problem-solving orientation

Necessary competencies (must have):

– Microsoft Power BI

– DAX programming, Power Query, Data Flows

– Databases (SQL Scripting)

– Data modelling and processing

– Implementation of authorization concepts (row level security)

– Microsoft Excel

Desirable competencies (nice-to-have):

– Microsoft Access

– Snowflake

– Power Automate

Linguistic proficiency:

– German

– English
