Digital Design Operations Manager

I am currently working with one of the UK’s leading eCommerce companies as they seek to expand their Digital Product team. This retailer is a household name, recognizable by almost anyone in the country. With a distinctive heritage spanning over a century; they are still redefining the spaces they enter, now becoming frontiers within the digital space, adopting new technologies before all their competitors and setting the benchmark for the future of shopping.

They’re currently looking for a Digital Operations Manager with experience working in AGILE environments, to help with their group’s mission to make their entire customer base’s experience with them the best it can be. In this key role within the Design Operations team, you will lead the way through Process Management, Budget Control & Communications. You will have experience working in a digital design or product team either in-house or in an agency as a studio or creative services manager, product manager, producer, trafficking or project manager, and are comfortable championing service and product design at a strategical and tactical level both internally and externally.

Key Responsibilities

· Product manage the companies Design System and its continuous improvement, including management of budget, backlog, stakeholders and roadmap

· Advise on best practices that help improve agile ways of working within the team

· Be a central point of contact for the team, resolving all questions and stakeholder queries

· Assist in headcount planning, team budgeting and software management

· Work to increase efficiency, effectiveness and the impact of both designers and researchers throughout the team; implementing templates and best working practices

· Ensure the appropriate allocation of resources and time with all current and future stakeholder demands

· Maintain a high standard of attention to detail with clarity of communication

Experience Required

· DIGITAL PRODUCT DESIGN TEAM EXPERIENCE IS A MUST

· Experience of Design Operations, Program Management or the equivalent experience as a producer or creative studio manager within an agency or in-house

· A design or design management background, and knowledge of design principals and systems

· Experience of managing stakeholders and projects in a high-pressure, creative environment

· Understanding of UX, UI, Product Design and experience of interviewing and recruiting design talent

· Empathetic and clear communicator who can adjust their style to suit multiple audiences and channels
