Freelance Project Manager

The market continues to soar with new roles popping through, so if you work in the wonderful world of freelance Digital Project Management you are in for a treat 😊

Working with one of London’s top digital agencies, they are looking for a freelance Digital Project Manager to start asap for 6 months and remote too (However you must be UK based as they will need to send you a laptop).

Your Impact:

• Lead Research & Creative teams to successfully deliver customer experience and solutions including experience management, ecommerce, customer data, cloud, and microservice platforms that satisfy client expectations as described in statements of work
• Identify and realize business outcomes using waterfall and agile methods, processes and tools tailored for the team’s experience and client environment as necessary to ensure a high degree of delivery and solution quality
• Organize and lead ongoing team planning and retrospective sessions to identify key risks, issues, and dependencies across workstreams within an engagement to optimize delivery and drive insights and mitigation strategies for program risk management

The real deal:

• Experience utilising Agile delivery methods including Scrum, Kanban, and Scaled Agile Framework
• Knowledge of traditional waterfall and hybrid-agile methodologies, with experience adapting and bridging legacy ways of working to increase agility in organizations with low agile maturity
• Understanding of design thinking fundamentals, systems design, product design, value-based framing
• Proficient with collaboration tools including Jira, Confluence, Teams, Slack, and Microsoft Office applications
• Experience managing and contributing to sales proposals by collaborating and negotiating with multi-disciplinary teams to shape a cohesive delivery approach, team shape and cost estimates to deliver competitive value driven proposals
• A solution-based mindset with a full understanding of the application of current digital technologies (including Responsive Design for component-based Content Management Systems, Digital Marketing Platforms and Web/Mobile Applications)

Your Responsibility:

• Manage pipeline of work, including prioritisation, grooming, assigning, and overseeing the delivery
• Plan meetings, communications, and other checkpoints to keep team in a state of continuous development, utilizing our tools to visualize work lists, status, and bottlenecks, for the benefit of the team
• Collaborate closely with your client stakeholders and your research and creative team to ensure they’re equipped with project requirements to be effective in their role

The check list:

• 7+ years of project management experience across large, complex, and cross-functional teams-including the ability to identify scope and resource needs, develop work plans and specifications, estimate and allocate resources in service of the plan and its dependencies, use tools to queue and track tasks
• Adept at navigating creative and technology intersections to create and launch static and motion content on native apps (Android & iOS)

Desirable things to have:

• Experience in writing, reviewing, and finalizing Statements of Work
• Experience in staffing teams, managing budgets, and producing standard reporting (e.g., burndown)
• CSM, CPSO, or SAFe certifications
