Studio Manager

The role involves: managing the studio operations for the Digital Experience team including; processes, projects, practices, tools, communications and budgets.

We are looking for: a passionate, sociable and driven Studio Manager with a digital background, awareness of best-practices in studio operations and the desire to constantly evolve and introduce improvements to ways of working.

About the role:

• Support the smooth day-to-day running of the DX team, including projects, processes, workflow and tools
• Help the design Community to thrive through the creation and co-ordination of inspiring programs, processes, training and events to foster learning and inspiration, work visibility and connection across teams – for example Design Festivals, Designathons and Creative Round Tables
• Ensure the team is set-up to deliver through seamless on-boarding, resource management and the provision of the right tools for the job
• Support driving the pipeline of talent into the team through the management of early careers and recruitment programs and initiatives
• Champion best-practice within DX to support the delivery of project deliverables and adherence to budgets
• Constantly look how we can improve ways of working and team culture
• Collaborate with designers, design leads, stakeholders and the wider Sainsbury’s Group to help the team deliver against its goals

About you:

• Experience working within Design Operations, Studio Management, Production, Project Management, Creative Services, Event Management, Studio Management and/or Human Resources is vital
• Understanding of design and creative processes is key
• Understand the essential components that make-up a well-run design team alongside commercial and business constraints
• Experience of working for a big brand would be beneficial
