Technical Designer – Experiential Agency – Fully Remote

We are currently looking for a talented Technical Designer for a fantastic Creative Experiential Agency. Our client works in the live and digital event world and are looking for someone with event specific, agency agency experience.

The role will primarily comprise:

• Technical visualisation
• Technical drawing
• Site surveying
• Contractor briefing
• Document production
• Design management
• On site design management where required

This integral Technical Designer role is the link between their studio and their production department. The role is to champion the design ethos and ensure excellence in production whilst balancing quality with budget constraints. It is a fast-moving industry and their technical designers need to be able to develop and adapt projects at speed due to changing requirements. It is a challenging role but hugely rewarding when the work is successfully delivered.

As the Technical Designer you will have a vital role in their studio and will come with all the support required to develop and implement new systems to drive efficiencies in their processes. The leaders of the studio are highly experienced but are always hungry for new ideas that fresh talent brings to a studio. Support for training and development is in place and their studio is a space where they hope younger talent can develop and those with years of experience can thrive.

Their studio primarily uses Autodesk (AutoCAD and 3DS Max), SketchUp and Adobe and it will be an advantage if you are fluent in these suites.

Other skills you can bring to the studio such as hand sketching or motion graphic experience will certainly make you stand out from the crowd. The two skills we value most highly in the studio are original creative thinking and style. It’s no good having a great idea if you cannot communicate it beautifully.

Although the role is technically focussed, they are a small studio and always aim to cross pollinate skills and ideas across all members. There is scope for this role to include creative design, graphic design and visualisation and if you are keen to develop those skills, they will gladly support you.
