3D Design Director | 6 Month Contract Opportunity | London | Experiential Agency

A leading experiential/events agency in London are currently looking for a 3D Design Director to

to lead the 3D/Experience design team

This new role will act as the conduit for departments in the agency and our clients to drive new and integrated thinking to all of our work. As 3D Design Director, you will be managing, growing and leading the 3D design team while executing brave and innovative creative solutions. As part of the senior creative team you will be instrumental in the success of the business and attracting and winning new business.

The role requires excellent communication skills. It will sit in the heart of the creative department and you must be experienced in working in a high paced and demanding environment. Confidence to brief effectively and work well in a team environment are as important as an ability to excite clients with our concepts and what we can offer them. You must be a natural creative thinker and while bringing new fresh ideas to the table ensure that you have a strategic approach to design and how it is executed

Key Skills

• Ensure that that there is clear direction and an accurate understanding of the team’s expectations across departments.
• Taking the 3D design lead across our various clients, ensuring we champion how we use and present spaces and experience
• Participate in key capabilities presentations including representing the agency at industry leading talks.
• Help maintain computers and licenses in the Creative Department alongside the IT function
• Work with the Creative Leads and Creative Directors to ensure creative is at the heart of what we do and the clients KPI’s are being met through smooth processes and ensuring efficiency across the department
• Working with other department heads to ensure smooth running of the business * Building and managing a team of talented and inspiring people who can drive the business forward by creating great work across the 3D department
• Drive creativity and design principles through the department
• Being an inspirational leader for the team using your expertise to educate on better ways of working
• Strong management and communication skills with an ability to work in a demanding and fast paced environment
• Understanding in depth the programmes and software’s we use to ensure that we are consistent in how we present our work daily
• Work alongside our international offices to maintain fluid ways of working while ensuring best working practices
• Protect creative integrity as projects progress and add creative input to new business and pitches.
• Working with the global creative directors to ensure consistency across the global network
• Be involved at the briefing stage to ensure a detailed interpretation of the client brief
• Building lines of communication with the production department to ensure smooth running of the projects
• Signing off all design/action briefs
• Ensuring consistency of work and making sure all work is to a standard expected
• Building a relationship with other departments in the business
• Assigning briefs to members of the team
• Liaise with 3rd party suppliers
