Creative Designer (3D) | Global Retail Client | West London

This is an exciting and unique opportunity: for a middle-weight 3D Designer to join one of Europe’s biggest technology retailers in West London.

Not only will you produce an array of inhouse 3D and 2D designs for retail spaces and merchandising solutions – you’ll also get to create highly innovate work for incredible clients like Samsung, Google and Apple.

We are looking for: a creative designer with 3D visualisation skills in both CAD (3D Studio MAX/Sketch-up) and freehand. You will ideally have experience of creating innovative work for retail spaces and merchandising solutions. Strong communication skills and the ability to manage projects independently are a must.

About the role:

  • Creating innovative, cost-effective store interiors that customer will find enjoyable and easy to shop
  • Create innovative, cost-effective product displays which ‘bring life to technology’
  • Maintain visual differentiation between brands whilst driving commonality of shop-fitting components across all chains UK and International
  • Communicate ideas and concepts through clear effective methods all in-house
  • Constantly value engineer design concepts to drive best value, understanding lifecycle costs balancing durability with initial cost

About you:

  • Highly competent in 2D & 3D CAD (3D Studio MAX / Sketch-up) and freehand, as well as Adobe and Microsoft Suite
  • Experience of creating designs for retail environments or similar
  • An understanding of merchandising solutions and shop-fitting would be beneficial
  • Good understanding of all manufacturing processes and material types across the design process
  • Ability to reduce cost by value engineering existing designs and advising on new design options
  • Must be aware of market trends, customer expectations and competition and therefore accountable for the team applying the insight to specific
  • Good negotiation, communication and presentation skills
  • Good management, motivational and organisational skills
