The Director of UX & Design is looking for a talented Design Lead to work across a wide range of digital projects with compelling, intuitive interfaces while managing a small design team. The successful applicant will be professional and friendly, with a can-do attitude and will quickly become a key team member also working closely with the product and development team.

As the Design Lead you should have an exceptional product design background and
be prepared to lead from the front by getting fully involved with creative workshop sessions,
collaborative ideation and hands on product design.

You will be required to:

  • Work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders to lead
    discoveries, establish requirements and guide projects from a user experience perspective
  • Coach and enable product designers both in project detail and on a higher level to help
    them improve their craft in all aspects of design
  • Assign work to team members as needed to ensure work-flows are managed well and team has harmonious balance
  • Design creative solutions for a range of products

  • Present work to internal departments

  • Mentor and manage junior designers

  • Plan and co-ordinate research, alongside UX Research

  • Help to promote a progressive and creative culture within the design team itself and
    proactively demonstrate the benefits of design thinking throughout the organisation

The Right Person will be Skilled in Many of the Following:

  • Minimum 5+ yrs in designing digital UX/UI products

  • Comprehensive knowledge & understanding of best practice UX/UI design & web standards
  • Master of the Adobe Creative Suite and Wireframing tools

  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to present confidently is important

  • Be able to manage your time efficiently and independently

In addition to these skills, you need to be someone with a sense of humour who will be a great fit with the organisations culture and their growing, fun team.
