Tech-lead eCommerce Startup


The role:

The Head of UX Design will be leading the user experience design team at this exciting eCommerce start up.

You’ll be inspiring the work and managing the full UX function, traversing between both the strategic and the tactical, directing the design and implementing the UX strategy for awesome new tech-lead digital products.

You will be an experience design advocate, seasoned at discovering user needs and using them to drive brand new designs, features and functionality.You will be leading projects from definition right through to the delivery and continuous improvement

Main Responsibilities:

  • Day to day management of the UX Design team
  • Leading end-to-end design of new products
  • Using experience design methods to identify pain points and interpret requirements to build opportunities for enhancement
  • Lead cross-platform design projects for Web and mobile, lending expertise wherever possible
  • Own and develop the UX strategy and principles within the business
  • Work directly with Product Owners, Developers, Architects etc.
  • Designing and facilitating workshops with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Communicating design decisions and rationale to the wider business

You’ll Need:

  • 5+ years relevant experience and an outstanding portfolio of prior creative work that demonstrates an end-to-end process of conception to delivery using design thinking, across a range of different projects and platforms.
  • 2-3 years experience of successfully leaving UX teams, preferably in-house
  • Several years working in a UX role in and Agile environment
  • Proven ability of managing complex stakeholder relationships
  • Experience of designing UX for both B2B and B2C, across multiple industries
  • Drive to constantly challenge the status quo to improve customer experience and ways of working
  • Knowledge of best practice and passion for the industry as a whole, as well as being an active member of the UX Community
