Midweight Motion Designer
£28-35,000 DOE
My client is the largest owner of shopping centres in the UK. With over 400m annual visits and some of the most iconic buildings in the world, they are bucking the trend of the dying high street with innovative shopping and leisure concepts, and trailblazing the industry with new technologies.
Reporting to the Digital Marketing Director, you will be central to their creative development and execution of video and motion design content for the brands fast growing social media communities and other channels such as web and email. You will be responsible for driving video content creation across key channels targeting the right audience at the right time, keeping on top of latest industry trends and developments.
You’ll be working closely with a range of internal stakeholders to improve video content production creating a ‘social first’ publishing mentality. This is an exciting opportunity to take leadership of the development and execution of the rich media content strategy across a variety of interests on various platforms.
The ideal candidate will be intellectually curious and will be seeking a chance to demonstrate their passion and initiative to help drive growth in a rapidly growing digital market. You will be a ‘social native’ who has their finger on the pulse of the latest creative trends for video on Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat, YouTube or Twitter to name a few.
Responsibilities:
– Lead development of the companies rich media strategy, producing moving content and maximising its content across all digital channels.
– Full end-to-end ownership of video content, from initial scamping and planning to execution and delivery
– Animation using industry standard software (Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, After Effects)
– Producing video content ranging from long form stories to reactive’ short form social assets
– – Creating returnable content formats and features that help to build audience loyalty and repeat viewing
– Creating motion graphic templates, grading and mixing, and delivering per specifications
– Working with stakeholders throughout the production process, gaining approval and responding to feedback
– Reacting to real-world events by creating timely video and graphical content for social channels that engages our audience and drives positive brand associations
– Working with influencers on the co-creation of content (bloggers. Instagramers, Youtubers etc.)
– Helping to handle critical deadlines and short turnarounds in a fast-paced environment
Key Skills:
– Proven experience creating and managing motion graphic and video output
– Deep understanding of best practices and tools used in video production and distribution
– Proven experience of creating design assets for Instagram, including, Instagram stories and animated gifs
– Proven experience of creating design assets for Instagram, including, Instagram stories and animated gifs
– Articulate and able to communicate well in both written work and face to face
– You’ll ideally can script, storyboard, and plan videos
– Strong visual and audio skills, including shot composition, lighting, sound, plus a knack of knowing what goes into making a great animated video
– Knowledge of social audiences, including the format in which the video content is consumed by these audiences
Your skills:
– Educated to degree level
– 3+ years’ work experience in a similar role
– A portfolio of work that demonstrates creativity, innovation and success
– You are incredibly organised
– You can manage your time effectively to ensure deadlines are hit
