Lead Designer – Digital & Print | London | 6 – 12 month Fixed Term Contract | Start-up

A Start-up VR/Tech company in Central London is looking for a Lead Designer who specialises in Digital and Print design to join them on a 6-12 month FTC. They are looking for a Lead Designer to take their brand identity and creative to the next level. This client is committed to building a world-class design pedigree and is looking for a passionate, friendly, hard-working designer to join their team asap.

As the Lead Designer, your team will connsist of Visual Designer, Marketing Managers and freelance and agency relationships. The ideal candidate will have an interest in technology, have expereince working within an agency/start-up environment and will be good at working under pressure.

Key Responsibilities;

  • Work with CX and UX creative counterparts to gather overall art and design objectives and project requirements
  • Serve with CDO as the strategic and creative authority on aesthetic, tone, and messaging across all platforms, brands and channels; ensure projects have consistency and follow guidelines;
  • Create, oversee, and maintain documentation and deliverables for multiple stakeholders: visual design, product and marketing;
  • Pitch concepts and solutions to internal and external stakeholders in a concise and compelling manner;
  • Grow, mentor, support, and evaluate the internal design marketing team;
  • Source, evaluate, hire, and manage third-party design resources, talent, and agencies; ensure deliverables are clearly outlined, delivered on time, and match expectations coordinate deliverables between department’s design staff;

Experience Required;

  • 5+ years of work experience in a Design role on the Marketing side with product experience as a bonus
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, brands and deadlines independently and effectively in a fast-paced start-up environment
  • Expertise in designing materials across multiple devices, sizes, and platforms
  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite
  • Communicate design rationale effectively across multiple audiences (engineers, PMs, stakeholders, etc)
  • Interest in technology, data, impact, and the future
