Lead Product Designer

This is a rare opportunity to join a growing SaaS Software start up. These guys are at the top of their game delivering over a dozen products including a user portal (itself a range of products), a chat widget/interface, multi user email client, tasks, instant messaging, report builder, admin system, publishing engine, mobile apps and more

You’ll be joining a small team and a growing design team which you’ll be able to have a say on what resources are needed going forward, working with modern design tools (e.g. figma is currently the primary tool) in a fast, fun and dynamic environment.

THE ROLE

• Overhauling the UI/UX of aspects of the product, as well as new features & components
• Constantly questioning and refining new and current UI design
• Collaborate with product owners, designers and engineering teams
• Understanding & researching the stakeholders within the product life cycle.
• Developing components in Figma (or Sketch) with handover to the front end team
• Build a strong design culture by sharing your experiences
• Wireframing / Prototyping
• Directly reporting to & working with the Head of Design & CEO
• Present Ideas to company and represent the company in public forums

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Confidence in backing up your design ideas
• Team player who enjoys collaboration
• Skilled in the use of Adobe CC, Figma, Sketch or similar modern design software.
• Solid experience designing UI/UX for SaaS software products (ideally B2B)
• Understanding of UI/UX principles, personas, usability and other User Experience disciplines.
• Some knowledge of HTML & CSS
• Personal interest in designing software
• Experience with research and testing as part of the design process
• Keen interest in understanding of technology and emerging trends
