Lead Product Designer – Innovative Start Up – Up to £90,000

The Company:

My client are a new kind of platform – powered by Open Banking – that helps consumers win in the daily fight to get good value from the businesses they deal with. Consumers don’t have time to check how they’re spending their money every 5 minutes. But my client does – they do it all day and are brilliant at it. My client’s only goal is to help everyone spend and the platform performs three key tasks for its customers:

1. Keeps an eye on their bills to make sure they aren’t being ripped off

2. Scours the internet to find ways for them to save money on the things they already buy

3. Shows them all their bank accounts in one place, making the process of managing money super-simple.

The Role:

My client are currently on the hunt for a brilliant and creative end to end Lead Product Designer, with a passion for their craft and a belief in what my client have set out to achieve, to join the team and start growing their in-house capability.

As a key member the product team you’ll be responsible for supporting end-to-end feature development; from understanding what customers like and dislike about the current experience, building prototypes to enable feature testing, creating designs to support feature development and working with the development team to make sure implementation and design remain aligned throughout the delivery process. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced environment and being a key person in a cross-functional team. You’ll have demonstrable experience identifying and building user personas, developing and documenting user journeys and flows, wireframe development and prototyping.

You’ll be an expert craftsperson in designing digital product interfaces and keep up-to-date with the latest guidelines from the likes of Google and Apple. Your portfolio should show demonstrable experience of defining and delivering both UX and UI solutions for products.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Devising simple, elegant UX mobile solutions to complex problems
• Producing beautiful, clean and intuitive mobile UI designs
• Designing new screens and experiences for both apps
• Defining and maintain good design process
• Rapidly prototyping new ideas
• Designing with data
• Providing design direction to the development team and coming up with solutions where technical limitations cause divergence from initial approaches
