Our Client, a global leader in Knowledge on-demand, is looking for a Mid Weight Motion Designer who is bursting with ideas to join their close knit design team.
The successful Motion Designer will be responsible for creating high-quality motion content and other graphic assets that connect with the audience.
They need a multi-skilled, versatile designer who can create amazing animations and can also work on traditional graphic and layout projects when needed.
Main Responsibilities
- Creating engaging and eye-catching animations for a variety of projects and campaigns
- Editing or re-purposing live action footage for social media and internal use (e.g. editing length of existing videos, adding subtitles, reformatting size or file type, etc
- Animating icons, logos, and other brand assets
- Collaborating with other internal teams to ensure briefs are fully explored, managing expectations, and deliver what is needed
- Broadening and developing their video and motion toolkit and guidelines
- Generating interesting, beautifully executed creative work, leading the output on project through every stage of development: research, strategy and expression.
- You’ll also provide creative input at brainstorms and weekly design catch-ups
- Supporting the team in creating other design work such as one-pagers, infographics,presentations, and literature
- Managing external vendors when needed to ensure they deliver to high standards
- Effectively distilling and communicating direction to the team after stakeholder feedback
- Mentoring Junior Designers with encouragement and constructive feedback, inspiring them with your energy, enthusiasm, and love of all things design
- Act as Brand Guardian, ensuring all work is to the highest standard
What they are looking for
- 3+ years of relevant industry experience gained in a commercial environment
- Excellent working knowledge of Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. Experience using Cinema 4D or similar would be a bonus
- Strong technical knowledge of post-production processes, file formats and delivery specs for digital and broadcast platforms
- Experience working on visual, verbal and strategic campaign projects
- Working knowledge of Google Slides and Google Docs
- Experience in shooting and directing videos, using a camera, lighting equipment, microphones, etc would be beneficial (but not a must!).
