Job Description

This is an ideal role for an end-to-end product designer able to understand business requirements and to be responsible for conceiving and conducting user research, interviews and surveys, and translating them into sitemaps, user flows, customer journey maps, wireframes, prototypes, and high fidelity mockups. In this role you will also be expected to work collaboratively with the team to design the overall functionality of the product, from drafts to user interface design, and iterate upon it in accordance with user feedback in order to ensure a great user experience.

Responsibilities

• Advocate for human centred design
• Ask smart questions, take risks and champion new ideas
• Conduct research, rapidly test and iterate your designs
• Translate concepts into user flows, wireframes, mock ups and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences
• Design and deliver user stories, user journeys, wireframes, and high fidelity mockups optimised for a wide range of devices and interfaces
• Identify design problems and devise elegant solutions
• Make strategic design and user-experience decisions related to core, and new, functions and features
• Work directly with product, engineering and our client teams

Requirements

• 5+ years in product design experience, including UX and UI experience. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience in the utilies and fin-tech sectors
• A portfolio demonstrating experience creating great human-centred design solutions across mobile and desktop
• Experience conducting user research and user testing
• Expertise in design software such as Sketch or Figma
• Ability to create and maintain a Design Library to refine UX and UI consistency across multiple devices and features
• Ability to work with internal stakeholders and external clients to understand detailed requirements and design complete user experiences that meet client needs and vision
• Ability to clearly and effectively communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions to teams
• Ability to iterate designs and solutions efficiently and intelligently
• A clear understanding of the importance of user-centered design and design thinking
